My final animation Video with screen shots

I got all of these cut out images from www.football- renders.com I then cut round these images with scissors and then I had 2 vs. 2 I did plan on using 11 vs. 11 but the pitch would have had to be massive because the images were scaled to large in comparison to the pitch so therefore I could only use 2 players vs. 2 players, I was going to add my radio work into this as well but I choose to add a song that was more appropriate which was vampire weekend- a punk.

I have took screen shots of my work as it was in the process of been made, these all show the way it has been created in garage band the music and credits have been added you can see this by the screen shots below.


This video on the left hand side is my final animation video which includes credits and audio.

This is where i was filming the cut out animation, the camera fitted to the top of a apple mac, this was easier than it been on a stand, i then printed the pitch out and put it on a black background and added black coloured tape round the sides so the pitch wouldn't be able to move because i wanted the players and football to move and not the background.

 As you can see on the right hand side there is a video image which has all of the clips at the bottom but all of these images get made into a nimation because they have been took one after the other and each time the player/ football is moved about a centimetre sometimes less.


you click the red button which is in the middle of the image which takes the picture and then when you click play it plays all the series of images that you have took.

As you can see the series of pictures which has been created into an animated video, the 4 second clips before and after the video include credits, the first set of credits say Manchester United Vs Manchester City, the last set of credits say created by Jack Irwin.

I opened the pictures in garage band and i went to the side bar and clicked onto video adjustments i then changed the contrast to 21 percent and then the saturation to 125 percent this changed the colour of the series of pictures this then made the players stand out more, i have took a screen shot of this to show the differences of the images when they have been edited in garage band.

my original idea was to use 11 players on each team but because of the size of the players i could only use 2 people on each team if i were to do this again i would scale the players to be smaller then it would look more realistic.

As you can see on the left screen shot this is the editing all complete the yellow track thats below the series of pictures and the credits is the audio i downloaded from youtube this is vampire weekend- a punk,the purple bar at the bottom of the screen is for fading in or fading out the audio as you can see it goes down as the footage finishes.

If i was to do this again then i would allow more time and have better time management of doing certain tasks for deadlines, i would have added the video footage to garage band and then put audio of a sports podcast commentating on Manchester United vs Manchester City

my final idea

I am going to do cut out animation this will be  on sports this will have background music and commentary which i will get out of the radio, we have recorded our opinions on some of the football matches throughout the weekend. I will add some of this audio to the video this will make the effect better. Above are some pictures that i have got from www.football-renders.com.

I will use these pictures as my animation i am going to do cut out animation which will go well with the pictures i have got. I am going to make all of the cut out animated pictures move i have got some of the most famous footballers, i am going to make these move as if they are playing each other, the commentary will be about the games. I am going to add some more pictures of famous footballers my theme is going to be on the premiership football, its going to be arsenal, man utd, Tottenham and manchester city.

my idea is going to be 4 of the top teams in the premier league i have got a player from each of the teams, i am going to do cut out animation so i will have to cut these pictures out i am going to print them in high quality so these will look more realistic i will need to make a background and a football pitch because i am going to find a clip online of manchester united vs manchester city and then i am going to do the other match which is arsenal vs tottenham.

what animation i am going to do

sound animation

i opened garage band which you can edit sounds by using this programme, i added a short animation clip which was using model based animated figures i then added a track which was called kung fu fighting this was appropriate for the type of animation i used.

it worked well with the clip because the clip was based on animated fights i then had to delete part of the track and the i went onto track and clicked fade out.
when i had done this it brought a purple line at the bottom so this allowed me to change when it faded out and how long the fad was going on for.

i found this easy to do as the teacher showed us with the clip i then used the purple line bar which was the fade out bar to make it dimmer more.

Here is a video that i put into garageband i also added the kung fu fighting track which plays throughout the animated footage.

model animation is where 3d objects made out of stuff like plastercine and other materials, a very famous one that is known from model animation is wallace and Gromit, chicken run etc.
These are all professional designers who have created these films and they have made lots of money and these films have been sold worldwide.

Here is a fact on the Wallace and Gromit:

Approximately 35,000 frames were used in each of the first three Wallace and Gromit films. Were-rabbit was shot at a slightly lower frame-rate, but this still doesn't account for the fact that well over a mind-boggling 100,000 frames of footage were shot

In class we have has a go at making models out of modelling clay this task was fun and it was good to do the practical side of animation i enjoyed making these it took a while to think of what to make.
The image above is the one i created its not perfect but i will improve each time i use this you just need to have a good idea of what to make.
